Here's the scoop... Enjoy!

JACKETS

- The Puffer - Crucial for all the coziness. Longer length and over sized are the latest picks.

- The Trench - Traditionally double breasted with a waist belt, shoulder straps and a storm flap. Usually seen in earthy tones like camel/ khaki but can now be seen in bolder colours and prints.

- The Wrap Coat - Effortless and Chic. Definitely my fav!

- The Cape / Poncho - Timeless and Trendy. It's like wearing a blanket. But still cool! Yay!

KNITS

Anything goes but the top ideas here are: Animal Print, Embellished, Turtle Neck, Colour-Block, Balloon Sleeve and Chunky. Pair any of these with your fav jeans. Easy-peasy! Try to change up styles, colours and lengths to avoid becoming bored and predictable.

FLEECE & FAUX FUR

In this weather, give your leather jacket a break and opt for a comfier fleecy coat. The options are endless and we aren't complaining! Find yourself one in a vibrant colour or stick to neutral. If you don't want to wear a fluff coat, choose a casual pull-over/hoody instead. After all, 'loungewear' i.e. Daytime PJ's is a big thing atm!

MATCHING PANT-SUITS

Most of us are working from home so this may not be 100% necessary right now, but the real drawcard of matching separates lies in the fact that you don't have to overthink what to wear when you are heading out. Even better, the more slouchy silhouettes are 'the' choice for W'20. Pantsuits have become a staple in any trendy woman's closet and once you try one you'll see why.

LEATHER ON LEATHER

This trend goes far beyond just the usual leather jacket... That said, a leather dress may be a step too far for most of us... So try a little leather skirt with stockings, leather trousers, a leather trench and you'll rock it. To take it up a notch, try it in a colour rather than a neutral. You were born to stand out!

PUFF SLEEVES & RUFFLES

Not for the faint hearted, nor anyone who wants to be comfortably chic (which let's face it is ALL of us right now!) as its not so practical... But if you do have an occasion to dress up, have some fun and add a little drama. Choose sheer &/embellished version and you'll be right up there!

WINTER WHITE

From chunky knits, to slip dresses, to blazers, boots, coats and trousers... This fresh and elegant winter trend is one you might just like. For the fashionista's out there, off-white is their go-to for a matching set. From Off-White to Cream to Beige and Cinnamon, monotone or mixed... Do you dare to bare?

MARIGOLD

I always air a bit of caution when I talk about this colour as it does not suit all skin tones. If you are one of the lucky ones, please go for it! Do not be shy! If this colour clashes with your beautiful complexion, you can still wear it, however I would suggest rather opting for a print that incorporates hints rather than full-on sunshine.

RUST

Still around, and still my personal fav colour for Winter (just before camel) <3 Enough said!

PLAID & HOUNDSTOOTH

If you haven't noticed these in store yet, get the blinkers off. Plaid or houndstooth (in the right colour combo) instantly adds a touch of flair & sophistication to any outfit... Get yourself a coat in either of these if you don’t already have one. If you'd rather stick to your staple, classic coat, then try a slouchy blazer, a pair of pleated trousers or a midi skirt. Or even a micro sling bag for a hint without overpow

Well there you have it ladies...

There are so many more to talk about but these are the most popular and easily adaptable into your wardrobe... I also didn't mention any footwear or accessories, which are also a great way of adding a 'trend' without changing up your whole wardrobe... but those deserve a post on their own! I'd suggest hopping to stores to try these on asap! Summer stuff will start trickling in soon... I know! Crazy right!? Winter in SA is still far from over, in fact it's feels like it's only really just begun, so please don't miss out! Have some fun and try something new (nothing is out of bounds). You may be surprised at what you find and how you end up feeling!

Remember, What you put on your body is meant to bring you joy and make you feel GOOD! So don't be afraid to get out there and play! xxx
